An innovative, dynamic partnership
of leading, historic Cathedral schools

Three Choirs Schools Group

STRONGER TOGETHER

Our schools share a common ethos, a remarkable history and a distinctive geographical connection. Each school is an educational charity which works closely with its valued neighbour: the great Cathedrals of Hereford, Gloucester or Worcester. By liaising closely together, our three schools will continue to thrive in the decades ahead. Working in partnership, we will offer even greater opportunity to our pupils, further professional development for our staff, and opportunities for operational efficiencies, such as shared procurement services.

Most likely starting as a Song School with the establishment of the Diocese in 676AD, Hereford Cathedral School has been educating young people for centuries but has its eyes firmly fixed on the future. Blending tradition with innovation, it seeks to prepare girls and boys from the ages of 3-18 to be real-world ready, offering boarding for students of senior school age.

Kings Gloucester

An Abbey School has existed on the current site since at least 1072, with the school being re-founded in 1541 by King Henry VIII. Today, King’s is thriving with a Junior School (for pupils aged 4 – 11yrs) and Senior School (for pupils aged 11 – 18yrs). King’s prides itself on offering a remarkable, balanced education on a beautiful campus adjacent to Gloucester Cathedral.

Kings Worcester

With roots in the 7th century and re-founded by Henry VIII in 1541, King’s is a historic yet forward‑looking Foundation comprising two vibrant Prep Schools (ages 2–11) and a Senior School (11–18). King’s Hawford sits on a rural site, while King’s St Alban’s and the Senior School sit alongside Worcester Cathedral. Together they provide a distinctive, well‑rounded education shaped by strong Cathedral links.
